How to lose water weight has become a common concern for both men and women. This issue affects people of all ages. Most people who are overweight do not know that it can be resolved by making some changes in their daily diet and exercise routines. It is very important to have a plan which will help you in losing the excess water retention.

Most people's idea of weight loss includes exercising and consuming foods rich in calories and protein. However, most of these foods tend to be too high in calories and protein. This will lead to gaining more body fat in comparison to muscle. The result of this is that when you put on more pounds, you cannot just lose it as easily. This is the reason why many overweight people suffer from bloating, gas pains and other related complications. This is because they do not follow the right diet regimen that helps them reduce and eventually eliminate the extra pounds.
It has been found that certain foods that cause water retention include citrus fruits, grapefruit, oranges and tomatoes. These foods when eaten together, can cause an increase in the levels of gastric acid in the stomach. When there is an increase in gastric acid level, it causes an overproduction of digestive enzymes. This will lead to more production of insulin and glucose in the blood stream leading to more weight gain.
Diccoitol, or as it's also known as dicalcium citrate, is one of the recommended methods on how to lose water weight. This substance is usually added to foods that taste sweet, such as cookies and candies. Diccoitol is added because it helps in breaking down the sugar molecules present in these sweet-tasting foods. But what most people do not know is that even non-sweetened foods can have this substance in them.
Most sodas and juices actually contain excessive amounts of sugar and water. Most people who drink these beverages will not know that they are actually retaining more water. Excessive water retention is a major factor in gaining weight. One of the best ways to retain water is through exercise. Exercise helps in flushing out the toxins from the body, thus reducing the amount of retained water.
Having a bloating feeling is often associated with extra water retention. People who have bloated feeling will often find that it leads to increased consumption of high calorie foods. When there is too much water retention, you may end up eating more than you can handle. You also risk developing health problems, which may eventually lead to gaining excess weight and bloating.
There are two ways to counter the effects of excess water weight. The first is to reduce salt intake and the second is to increase your fluid intake. The first strategy should be employed by those who need to cut down on sodium content in their diet. For example, people suffering from diabetes should keep their sodium intake under control so that their blood glucose level does not rise to dangerous levels.
The second strategy is undertaken by those of us who do not suffer from certain medical conditions but want to counter the effects of water weight. In this case, you need to increase your fluid intake to compensate for the water you are drinking. Fluid helps in flushing out the body stored sodium, allowing the kidneys to get rid of it. When the kidney gets rid of the sodium, the body stores the sodium in the cells. This leads to the next problem - hyper-sensitivity of the sodium-potassium systems of the body.
